Hi. Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m pleased you are here and hope that it gives you some enjoyment, laughter nad some relaxation from whatever pressures you have in your own life. I try when I write not to sound like Victor Meldrew. Sometimes I want to rejoice in my writing. Others I just want to let off steam or vent my surprise, frustration or powerlessness (is there such a word) about life around me.

With my wife, Maureen, I run a marketing agency based in Bracknell, UK, The Insight Group and have done so since 1988 – you can work out the maths, but essentially a long time. I love it. I enjoy marketing, I enjoy meeting and working with people and I just feel like I am on a drugs high (not that I would know what that was obviously, I never had a misspent youth…) when a marketing campaign provides results and gets a client to exclaim – either out loud or by email (actually carrier pigeon will do!) because it’s the sentiment that gets me excited, turned on and ‘fulfilled’.

Some of the blogs here are therefore marketing related, because, well, just because I can’t actually draw a line between where work and play start and stop. I enjoy both to the full so they become ‘as one’.

So before I go off into some surreal, ethereal rant about life, the universe and marketing, I’ll stop and say, enjoy and comment if you like what I write, and also comment if you don’t agree. I’m happy either way if I produce some open discussion.
